Kerrie Nichols is an illustrator and graphic designer who blends traditional fine art techniques with digital design to create colorful, whimsical illustrations and eye-catching graphics. With a passion for visual storytelling and a love of exploring new creative possibilities, she brings ideas to life through art that is engaging, expressive, and full of personality.

Kerrie earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from San José State University, where she developed a strong foundation in artistic technique, composition, and design. Her artistic experience spans a wide range of mediums, from printmaking, impressionistic painting, and realistic drawing to three-dimensional art forms such as glassblowing, ceramics, bronze casting, and sculpture. This diverse background allows her to approach each project with a unique perspective, combining artistic craftsmanship with modern digital tools.

For over a decade, Kerrie also worked as an elementary school teacher, bringing creativity and curiosity into the classroom every day. Her experience as an educator has shaped the way she approaches design, helping her transform complex ideas into clear, engaging visuals that connect with a wide range of audiences. Teaching has taught her to think outside the box, embrace new challenges, and find creative solutions—skills she brings to every illustration and design project.

Through Designs By Kerrie, she creates original clip art, seamless patterns, printable greeting cards, and other illustrative designs that inspire creativity and bring a little extra personality to everyday projects. Whether designing for educators, fellow creatives, or anyone looking for something unique, Kerrie loves making art that is both visually appealing and fun to use.

When she isn’t drawing, designing, or teaching, Kerrie enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Their family adventures, travels, and shared experiences continually inspire her creativity and remind her that some of the best ideas come from exploring the world around us.
